Slow Cooker Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 (1-1/2-inch thick) center-cut boneless pork chops

  • 1-1/2 teaspoons kosher salt

  • 1-1/2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon paprika

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  • 1 tablespoon poultry seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Directions

Step 1

Cut small slits in a diamond pattern in each chop with the tip of a knife; season with salt and pepper

Step 2

Wisk paprika, garlic powder, poultry seasoning, oregano, and basil together in a medium bowl. Remove 2 tablespoons of this spice mixture and rub generously onto pork chops, making sure that you rub it into all the slits

Step 3

Wisk broth and garlic into remaining spice mix

Step 4

Pour broth mixture into a 6-quart slow cooker; arrange seasoned chops on top

Step 5

Cover and cook on high, basting periodically with sauce, until slightly pink in the center. About 1 hour and 40 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 140 degrees F (63 degrees C)
